pant-a-LOAN-es

February 11, 2006

say you have a job interview, and your pants that go with your suit are missing, dirty or don’t fit anymore. you don’t want to have to buy a brand new pair of pants just for one interview…

say you are going “clubbing”. i’ve never been “clubbing” but i do know that you have to wear some fancy pants if you go clubbing. say i wanted to try it once (this is purely hypothetical) but i’m short on cash and can’t afford to buy a pair of designer pants…

that is why there needs to be a business called pant-a-LOAN-es. (minus the hyphens and my clever spelling change, that is the word for pants in spanish) at pant-a-LOAN-es you can essentially rent pants. nice pants. designer pants. then when you are done, just give them back and you’ve managed to adorn yourself with some fantastic pants, without breaking the bank.

i am definitely on to something with this one…

  1. Um, ’scuse me, but if you want to rent a pair of sweaty leather pants that someone has worn to a rave, then so be it. But just for the record, SICK!!!

Also, it was ground beef, not stove top :)

You crack me up, I love reading your blog!! :)

  2. I am not the one who is renting the pants. chances are, you are not going to be the one renting the pants, either. its people who go to job interviews and who go clubbing that are renting the pants. i agree, i do not want to wear soiled pants that some STD carrying nasty person has worn…but i will collect a fee from those who would like to wear the aforementioned pants. i repeat, you are under no obligation to wear these pants.

  3. it sounds like a perfect opportunity to offer a complementary (i know this is probably the wrong spelling) service to the customer. The Belmont STD hotline is back in service. Now, the third hotline option can be “if you received an STD from borrowed pants press three to speak to Crystal” Brilliant. Simply Brilliant.

  4. I know this is misplaced, but why hasn’t Brian posted anything new on his blog? What a disappointment.

  5. its like we’ve switched roles. usually i’m the one who starts a hobby only to quit weeks, days or even hours later and he’s the one with the long term hobbies. not any more, buddy. i’m the steady-hobbier now - 9 months and counting!
